Program Background
The Good Shepherd Program (GSP) Meru, is a ministry of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd sisters (RGS) whose main mission is to empower women, girls, and children whose condition in life cries out for the healing and merciful love of Jesus the Good Shepherd to help them to become the people God created them to be.
This program began in Meru, in 1993. It began with a feeding program in response to frequent pleas from children who sought help from the community of sisters at their central office in Kambakia.
The Program runs within Meru County with bases in three main locations namely, Kangeta in Igembe Central Constituency, Kooje in Imenti North Constituency, and Tumaini in Buuri East Constituency.
